9th Grade Immersive Field Trip to WNDR
There is a brand new immersive contemporary art museum in Downtown Crossing that is made “by artists, for artists” that 9th grade students will be touring and engaging with. With over 20 exhibits for students to engage with, each room is a unique experience of hand on and participatory art. Students will have the opportunity to interact with hands on examples of contemporary art and leave their mark on the art community with their participation. This is a one-of-a-kind experience that is coming to Boston for the first time next month so students will also be able to be some of the first patrons at this cutting edge museum. In addition to participating in the art, students may have the chance to meet some of the artists on display as they frequent the museum for different events and installation needs. We will be tying this experience into the English curriculum but practicing different first person writing prompts that are aligned with different genre skills for the ELA MCAS (letter writing, synthesis/ analysis writing, and speech writing).
They are offering us a group rate to allow equitable access for students since tickets typically start at $32.
